Sending a Load

3 min. readlast update: 03.21.2024

Forget the old days of paper tickets, also forget about e-tickets. We just track by the number of loads you have remaining on a haul. Later you just download the Bill of Lading and reports as needed.

In order to send a load, you need to Create a Haul first! The steps are covered in this video:

Sending loads

  1. Select an active site from the home page or load tracking tab
  2. Select an active haul you want to send a load from
  3. Click on the green 'send a load' button

Adding haulage, truck and driver details

It's so fast and easy to send a truck with Phil that you don't need to add a truck roster ahead of time. Just add the truck and driver details as you send trucks the first time and we'll save them into an address book for your company. Sending a saved truck only takes around 5 seconds!

Note: We only save the truck and driver once the load is sent.
TIP: Get your haulage company to send you their roster so you can add the following detail without asking the driver.
  1. Add an optional photo of the truck. This is a helpful visual aid and will come in handy during disputes.
  2. Select the "Haulage" field and start typing the company name. If the company is already saved then select it from the dropdown or finish typing the name and press the "Add as new company" button
  3. Select the "Truck" field and start typing the truck number or plate number. Select the truck you want if it is shown or press "Add as new truck" and enter the details to create a new truck.
  4. Select the "Driver" field and start typing the driver's name. Select the driver if they are saved, if not press the "Add as new driver" button and enter the required information.
  5. It is very important to add the driver's cell number because we will send them their roadside bill of lading, this needs to be presented if they are ever pulled over. They do not need the app installed or a Phil account.
  6. Confirm the load volume
  7. Record the optional weight (coming soon)
  8. Press 'Send load' to send your truck

Oops! How do I cancel or edit that load I just sent? Made a mistake? No problem you can change the load before it is received by the other site. Just select the load from the haul detail screen and press either "Cancel" or Edit" to change the details.
