Creating a Haul

A haul connects two sites for one material and a planned quantity. Admins create hauls; once it's active, anyone can record loads.

Starting a haul

On the Sites page, press Create new, then Create a haul to track trucks. On a site with no hauls yet, press Create haul. Accepting a deal in chat also creates one.

What kind of haul?

• I own both sites. Hauling between two sites you control. The haul starts right away.
• I'm the exporter. Hauling to another company's site. They're invited.
• I'm the importer. Receiving from another company. They're invited.
• I'm tracking on-site. Moving material between two areas of one site, such as a stockpile and a berm.

The steps

1. Pick the site, or Create a new site and place the pin.
2. Pick the material, type and grade.
3. How much are you sending? Choose the unit carefully; the haul is tracked in it and it can't change later. The total can.
4. Who is the on-site contact? You, a teammate, or a name and number.
5. How do you want to track? 2-way tracking emails the other company an invite and both sides confirm loads. 1-way tracking is for a partner who won't use Phil and needs Pro Tracking.
6. Do you need haulage? Press Request a free quote if you need trucks.
7. Check the review page and press Create haul now.

A haul between your own sites is active immediately. An invited haul sits under PENDING HAULS until the other company accepts; you can Cancel or Resend the invite from the haul.

Limits

The free plan runs one active haul at a time; you'll see Pro Tracking is required to run more than one active haul when you start a second. Hauls don't have names: they're identified by the counterparty and material.

Common setups

• Two materials from one site: create a haul for each.
• Several receiving sites: create a haul for each counterparty.
• Changing the total later: press Edit haul on the haul and update the quantity. The type and unit are fixed.
