Getting started with load tracking

Load tracking is a quick and easy way to connect two or more sites so that you can create hauls, and track truck loads. Both users need to be Phil users. Watch this 5 minute video if you don't want to read:

Why do I need load tracking? With the new Ontario soil regs (O. Reg. 406/19) that came out in January 2023, the Goverment of Ontario is enforcing that all excess soil must be tracked. The regulations can be quite complicated... but Phil's load tracking makes it super easy. Phil asks all the relevant questions and provides the reports and BOL's so that you don't need to think about it.
Does load tracking only work in Ontario, Canada? Although load tracking was originally designed to support the Ontario regulations, it can be used anywhere in the world. Load tracking is a great way to not only meet local compliance requirements, but is also a major efficiency over older manual ways of tracking the completion of hauls.
What can I track? Any material we support, which is a lot. The Ontario Soil Regulations are focused primarily on excess soil, but with Phil you can track stone and aggregate as well.

Sites hauling loads

Remember the above phrase "Sites hauling loads" That's the easiest way to remember the structure of load tracking:

Sites are a location that can have one or more hauls. You can use marketplace listings as a great starting point to add material and location info.

Hauls are a connection between two or more sites. You send a haul invite to another user (or even yourself) to approve the number of loads. Once it's approved you can start sending trucks. NOTE: Only admin users can send and approve haul invites.

Loads are truck loads (typically 10m3) moving one load of material from site A to site B.
